Strawberry Full Moon
Hey Lunar Babes,
Today is a Strawberry Full Moon in Sagittarius
πππππππππ
Universal to every Algonquin tribe (Native American Indians - now Northern & Eastern United States) created nicknames to keep track of the seasons according to what was happening at the time. June being the time for harvesting strawberries the full moon was granted the name, Strawberry Full Moon. In Europe it is the Rose Moon.
So what does this mean for us?
This is a time for truths + reality checks with our heart. Are we being honest about who we are? Are we being truthful about our capabilities not only to ourselves but to others? We want to get really clear about our hearts desires as this time will give us a boost of energy to make things happen. We just want to make sure we're moving full speed ahead in the direction aligned with our highest potential.
Take a look at the things you've put on the back burner in your life - people, places & things. You may notice that you feel more courageous in bringing life to them. Just make sure to ask yourself "Is this for me?" and "am I choosing to love myself more?" Check out our June's affirmation practice for choosing love. This will help support the present energy in feeling restored with a sense of purpose.
This time is also believed to heighten romance. Practice being lovingly direct + assertive + clear in all of your communication (always!) It's incredibly sexy and the full moon is known for its vibrant sensual energy. You may notice that your body moves with a bit more fluidity. Definitely spend a lot of time being outside today and make sure to move your body with some yoga, dance and some good ole sexin'!
It's pretty common for people to feel that they can't align with the moon energy because typically these are parts of ourselves that are deeply hidden. It's considered our dark side or shadow. Yin yoga is so powerful at shedding light and illuminating our healthy side. Which is why the practice is so incredibly healing. It's the healing feminine energy that balances the strong masculine energy of the sun ( yang energy - Strong Yoga Practices)
The moon needs the light of the sun to be seen, thus creating ahhh sweet balance!
“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.” - There Mafi
Much love,
Chanelle
